An exhibition of works which explore the connection between Science and art. As an ex Maths Science teacher I am often asked how a Science person (left brained thinking) works as an artist whose creativity relies on a right brained approach. I feel that the basis of both is keen observational skills and a willingness to explore and experiment with new ideas and in the case of art, for me, new media. The natural world is a constant inspiration, especially rock forms/ geology and flora and fauna. Included here are a few images of exhibited work… I ran out of time to document all. Each piece is accompanied by its own statement re the scientific basis.
Exhibition is on at Ghost Rock Vineyard, Port Sorell Road until the end of May 2010. I will be in attendance demonstrating some of my painting techniques on Sunday May 2nd.
